* How I lost 90 pounds living the Word of Wisdom: Part 1.
I love being a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints. I love it’s culture, it’s people, it’s truth, it’s doctrine and the many blessing that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Obvious by my title in which particular doctrine I’m most excited about. Word of Wisdom or the ironical abbreviation, W.O.W!
In the teaching of the, W.O.W, which is found more… View On WordPress
* Jesus Died In Our Place, For Our Sins: The Doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement Credit: St. Michael’s Church (Leuven, Belgium)
We here at The Essential Church believe that preaching the Word of God is essential to seeing souls come to faith in Jesus Christ. Along these lines, we believe that the Church of Jesus Christ needs to learn biblical… View On WordPress
* Was Jesus Christ Wholly Man, Wholly God, or Both? [ad_1] Many people say that Jesus Christ was both God and man when he lived on this earth. In this way they hope to avoid controversy. Entire denominations feel safe embracing this doctrine and in taking this stand. The question is- can it be both ways? The scriptures say no, and anyone taking such a stand must either avoid, or eliminate all the scriptures in the Bible that say otherwise.… View On WordPress
Why was Jesus Christ sentenced to death in the middle east?
When You Read Bible, Do You See "God, our Father and Lord Jesus Christ" or "God, our Father Who IS Jesus Christ" (ICor12:11)?
Yeah, the trinity thing was probably added later or something.
Ephesians 1 : 2, OK ?
" Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ".
This biblical text DETONATES the doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses that "sons of God" are only anointed Christians of 144.000" ( Gal. 3 : 26 ; John 17 : 1, 3 )
John 10:30 30I and the Father are one."
I see "the Word was with God and the Word was God" John 1:1
"Our God and Saviour Jesus Christ" 2 Peter:1
"of the Son he says, "Thy throne O God is forever" Hebrews 1:8
"Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God," Isaiah 9:6
Matthew 3:16-17 says: Jesus is God's Son. Jesus never claime to be God Almighty. Moreover 1Corinthains 15:24 When he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.
Its clearly both of these
This sums it up
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
See that - three AND one!
Thats our awesome God!
BTW the Word is Jesus Christ
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
I see an archaic religion that 2000 years ago sprouted a few branches , it now has more than 38,000 branches and all bear different fruits (aka Beliefs).
Too many other scriptures show the second statement to be an incorrect translation...If Jesus prayed to his father, and was SENT by his father, then he could not BE HIS FATHER.. they must be separate...
(Proverbs 8:22-31) Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way, The earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From ancient times I was installed, From the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When there were no deep waters, I was brought forth, When there were no springs overflowing with water. 25 Before the mountains were set in place, Before the hills, I was brought forth, 26 When he had not yet made the earth and its fields Or the first clods of earth’s soil. 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there; When he marked out the horizon on the surface of the waters, 28 When he established the clouds above, When he founded the fountains of the deep, 29 When he set a decree for the sea That its waters should not pass beyond his order, When he established the foundations of the earth, 30 Then I was beside him as a master worker. I was the one he was especially fond of day by day; I rejoiced before him all the time; 31 I rejoiced over his habitable earth, And I was especially fond of the sons of men.
That verse has neither. "I ascend unto my father and your father, to my God and your God." Jesus didn't worship nor create himself. Further, according to St. Paul, only the Father is God. Jesus Christ is one of the Lords, or lesser divine beings.
God is not a "thing." God is spirit or context. All that is seen and unseen exists within that context. God is a Word, a prayer, an inspiration, a hope, a dream. Is a dream real? Surely it is a real dream. Is inspiration or honor or glory real? Surely they are real. I can feel and know them.
The Word became flesh and blood and dwelt with us for a short time so that He would have a name. He is called Jesus Christ.
I see God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. Those who the Father IS the Son are Modalists and not Trinitarians. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit form one God, but the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, etc. God in 3 persons.
I see "God, what the hell is this monstrosity?"
Do you appreciate that God’s spirit performs different operations, producing various abilities that members of the congregation have, and in this way supplying all the congregation’s needs? Such is the case, because 1 Corinthians 12:11 informs us that “all these operations the one and the same spirit performs, making a distribution to each one respectively just as it wills.”
chapter twelve, verses seven to eleven: “But the manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for a beneficial purpose. For example, to one there is given through the spirit speech of wisdom, to another speech of knowledge according to the same spirit, to another faith by the same spirit, to another gifts of healings by that one spirit, to yet another operations of powerful works, to another prophesying, to another discernment of inspired utterances, to another different tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. But all these operations the one and the same spirit performs, making a distribution to each one respectively just as it wills.”
All Christians were members of one body, and all the things received from God were for the benefit of the whole organization. Each one had his position in the body as it pleased God, but it was important how they used the things God had given them as co-workers in the building program. God is a great builder in love; so those who work together with him must also have love
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
When I read Bible, I see 2 Timothy 3:12.
The original Greek had no commas.
The first one. Jesus was a World-Teacher who mastered use of the Holy Spirit.
I was taught Gold-Fire of the Holy Spirit brings the Christ.
Platinum-Fire is the Mother. Diamond-Fire imbues Oneness with I AM that I AM.
I believe Jesus is the Father but from the scriptures there is a separation between the Father and the son in fulfillment of one of the major bible themes ' the father mourns for an only begotten son'
Is there a difference in meaning between Jesus Christ and Christ Jesus?
No, Jesus is for the purpose of the royal line of King David who's throne He will occupy during His Millennial Reign after the Tribulation. Christ was a title of authority. They do not have to always be in the same order
putting the title ahead of the name and saying “Christ Jesus” instead of “Jesus Christ” places greater emphasis on the office or position held by Jesus.
It focuses attention primarily on the office, secondarily on the office holder, as in saying King David or Governor Zerubbabel.
It would remind one of the singular official position Jesus holds as the Anointed One of Jehovah, an honored position not shared by others of his followers.
The personal name of Jesus followed by the title Christ may call attention to the person himself and that he is the one who became the Anointed One of Jehovah.
This occurred when he reached about 30 years of age, was baptized in water, and was anointed with Jehovah’s spirit visibly observed in the form of a dove descending upon him.
This is the point Peter made at Pentecost: “God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus,” evidently recalling the expression he had heard from the lips of Jesus, who first used the term Jesus Christ. Ac 2:36-38
No it's the same. Jesus is the name, Christ is the title, meaning anointed one, which can come before or after the name.
Both are equally imaginary.
Jesus Christ emphasises He is the Saviour.
Christ Jesus emphasises He is God's anointed Saviour.
Jesus is the human name given to the Son of God when He became incarnate and was born to Mary. Christ is a title, and it means “Messiah,” “Anointed One,” or “Chosen One.”
In Philippians 2:5–11 Paul quotes what was most likely an early Christian hymn that was passed on orally to help believers keep their theology straight. In this passage Paul speaks of what we call the kenosis or the “emptying” of Jesus Christ as He took on human form. As He divested Himself of the independent use of His divine attributes in becoming fully man, the Son of God became the Suffering Servant prophesied in Isaiah 52–53. Jesus did this to reconcile us to God and in doing so took on a new glory that everyone everywhere will one day acknowledge. In Philippians 2, the term Christ Jesus comes first, in verse 5, and Jesus Christ at the end of the hymn, in verse 11.
The switch from Christ Jesus to Jesus Christ in Philippians 2 aligns perfectly with the theme of the hymn Paul quotes. The hymn begins with God becoming man—thus, “Christ Jesus” (the heavenly title, then the human name). The hymn ends with the Lord ascending to glory—thus, “Jesus Christ” (the human name, then the heavenly title). The Lord’s designations reflect the direction He is taking.
Placing the human name first puts a slight emphasis on the Lord’s humanity; placing the divine title first puts a slight emphasis on the Lord’s deity.
You mean as in 'Donald trump, the President', and 'the President Donald trump'? No difference.
none, they are both equally non existent
nope, neither exist.
Yes, he really name was, Toadwaddles Finoodleglugs.
No, they are two names for the same fictional character.
